Testimonials

nurse and patient reading

“My mother, Rita Dees, was, as many senior citizens are, a reluctant guest when she first became a resident of Grand Cove Nursing Center. To my amazement, it took less than a week for staff members to win her over and make her feel at home. I greatly appreciate the individual care she receives from the nursing staff and others who do such a wonderful job. Their dedication in seeing that both her physical and emotional needs are met means a lot to our family.”

“When the time came for me to be placed in a home, my son and daughter-in-law looked at all of the local nursing homes and chose Grand Cove. They made me feel welcome when I came here. The Administration is firm but fair in all decisions made on my behalf. They are always ready to give a helping hand and genuinely care about the health of the residents. Medication is always administered on time, and the nursing staff is very attentive. Clothing is always clean and returned in a timely manner. The facility is always clean. The Activity Department keeps residents busy with various projects and classes. The dietary department provides three well-balanced meals a day to meet all of my nutritional needs, and I never have to worry about transportation to and from doctors’ appointments.

There is plenty of love and laughter here. I am so happy that my family has placed me here at Grand Cove. I enjoy and like it very much, and I enjoy all of the people, residents and employees alike.”

“Over the years of my mother’s residency at Grand Cove, she received excellent personal care. The attending personnel as well as office personnel, housekeeping and department heads were gracious and cheerful, creating a homey, family atmosphere. The beautiful, well-maintained facility was always clean and welcoming. When the time came for my mother-in-law and father-in-law to enter a facility, without any reservations, we chose Grand Cove.”

“I love it here! The grounds are beautiful; the rooms are being rennovated. I can go up and down the halls and ask people how they feel, and they are happy to live here, same as me. I want to live to the end of my time, if possible, here.”

“On behalf of the family of Bertha Ellender, we wish to thank you for the exceptional level of care provided to her during her stay at Grand Cove. Following her paralyzing stroke in December 2007, we searched for a facility that would focus on her continued rehabilitation following her discharge from the hospital. After looking at what was available in both Sulphur, LA, and Lake Charles, LA, we realized that Grand Cove was the only place that met our expectations.

The accommodations for her at Grand Cove were more like a nice hotel instead of a nursing/rehabilitation facility. The staff was exceptional in the care they gave her, and they truly took an interest in her well-being and rehabilitation.

This was a difficult time for our entire family to make the decision to place our loved one in a facility to provide care for her. Based upon the level of attention given to her by the entire staff at Grand Cove, we would not hesitate to recommend this facility for any other family faced with the same situation.”
